Note: if the device you need to set the account up on is an iPhone, iPad, or Mac using the default Mail/Calendar app, you can use an Connection Profile to connect the account in a few clicks and automatically sync contacts and calendars too. Please see the link below:
mailcow: Apple Connection Profiles (iPhone, iPad, Mac)
All email accounts on the mailcow platform will use the settings below. Please note, unencrypted connections are not available. mailcow still listens on unencrypted ports, but uses STARTTLS for encryption on those ports for devices that do not support SSL/TLS.
I recommend using SSL/TLS.
SMTP
Hostname: mail.jompuserve.net
Encryption: Yes (type is port dependent)
Port: 465 using SSL/TLS (recommended) or 587 using STARTTLS.
IMAP
Hostname: mail.jompuserve.net
Encryption: Yes (type is port dependent)
Ports: 993 using SSL/TLS (recommended) or 143 using STARTTLS.
POP3
Hostname: mail.jompuserve.net
Encryption: Yes (type is port dependent)
Ports: 995 (SSL/TLS) using SSL/TLS (recommended) or 110 using STARTTLS.
